U.S. National Debt:

Budget, Health Care Issues Expected To Be Center Stage At Crapo Statewide Forum

Idahoans can join the iTownhall conference on September 16th

Washington, DC - Idahoans are invited to join Senator Mike Crapo for an update on federal issues facing the Congress, including health care reform and budget issues, during a statewide town hall forum next Wednesday. The statewide iTownhall meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mountain/6:00 p.m. Pacific.

To sign up for the iTownhall meeting, please go to Crapo's website, http://crapo.senate.gov and click on the iTownhall icon. You will be directed to send an e-mail request with your contact information. To ensure participation in the September 16th call, you should sign up by Monday, September 14th.

"I was energized to hear from so many Idahoans when I was home during the recent August state work period," Crapo said. "Many of you have strong feelings about issues like health care reform and deficit spending. This teleconference will give us a good opportunity to expand our meaningful discussions on these issues as we head into important votes in the Senate this fall." Crapo noted the iTownhall can't replace the face-to-face dialogue he enjoys with Idahoans but remains a good way to keep in touch when he is on the job in Washington, DC.

In order to participate in the iTownHall meeting, all you need is a telephone. To ensure that you receive a call, it is recommended that you sign up ahead of the teleconference. Participation is voluntary, and listeners are given an opportunity to ask the Senator about topics regarding federal policies or legislation.

Following the call, an audio file (MP3) of the full call will be posted on the website. A transcript will be posted at a later date.
