Crapo will join MLK March, Statehouse Events

Senator will speak in Boise Monday, Idaho Falls Saturday

Washington, DC - Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will join local NAACP President Wade Dawson, Governor Dirk Kempthorne, and a host of others Monday, January 20th, during events to commemorate the Martin Luther King, Junior holiday. Crapo will take part in the March to the Capitol from Boise State University down Capitol Boulevard between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. He will join Kempthorne and others for brief remarks at the Statehouse and inside the rotunda for the Human Rights Rally 2003 and MLK Day events following the march around 10:00 a.m.Crapo will also be the keynote speaker in Idaho Falls tomorrow night during the annual Martin Luther King, Junior banquet. The speech is open to the public beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the University Place Student Union Building in Idaho Falls. During both events, Crapo can also discuss his recent co-sponsoring of a Senate bill aimed at forming a voluntary national system to aid in the rescue of missing children. The â??AMBER Alertâ??
