Crapo Tops the List for the Most Town Hall Meetings Held in 2015

Idaho Senator highlighted for holding more meetings than any other congressional representative nationwide

Washington, D.C.-According to a recent report published by Legistorm, a service dedicated to tracking matters involving Congress, elected officials and congressional staff, Idaho Senator Mike Crapo has held more town meetings in 2015 than any other member of Congress.  Crapo leads the list with 38 town meetings since January 2015-twelve more than the next leading representative.  As a part of his effort to make a stop in nearly every town across the state, Crapo has held 70 town meetings during the last six months.

"Although technology has provided numerous new ways for representatives to keep in touch and stay connected to constituents, the invaluable input I receive at these in-person meetings cannot be replicated," said Crapo.  "The feedback and participation has been fantastic, and I look forward to continuing to travel the state to hear from Idahoans on the many issues confronting our country."

From Post Falls to Rexburg, Crapo has made stops in 22 of Idaho's 44 counties.  Participation at each of the meetings has been strong with Idahoans opening their community centers and local businesses to hear directly from the Senator on the issues.  Throughout the state, Idahoans have posed questions to Crapo on everything from the national debt to federal regulations and health care reforms.

In addition to these meetings, Crapo has already hosted a statewide tele-townhall call this year with another scheduled for next month.  These calls provide an opportunity for Idahoans to pose questions about federal policies and legislation to Crapo when the Senate is in session.  To learn more about the tele-townhalls and to sign up to participate, visit the Senator's official website at, or click  here
