Crapo Announces Staff Changes

Washington, D.C. -- U.S. Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) today announced several staff promotions and hires in his Washington, D.C., office. 

Molly Carpenter joined the office in September as the new Military Legislative Assistant.  Previously, Carpenter served in a similar role for the late Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) and Senator Jon Kyl (R-Arizona).  She will cover policy areas of defense, military, intelligence, veterans and foreign affairs.  Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University.  

Ellie Bender has been promoted to Legislative Correspondent.  She will also cover issues related to defense, veterans, intelligence and foreign affairs.  Ellie previously served as Staff Assistant after an internship in Senator Crapo’s office.  She holds a Bachelor of Science from Boise State University.  

Nate Favero joined the office in September as Staff Assistant and D.C. Office Manager.  He previously interned for Senator Martha McSally (R-Arizona).  Favero is responsible for coordinating requests for flags flown over the U.S. Capitol and for assisting in the management and operation of the Washington office.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brigham Young University (BYU), where he played on the baseball team.
