Grant Support Letters
If you are applying for a federal grant, you may request a letter of support from me to accompany your application.
In order for me to advocate on your behalf, please provide some basic information about your grant proposal. The following information gives me the best opportunity to review your proposal. Please submit this information in writing or by e-mail.
- Applicant Organization name
- Applicant contact information of the primary contact or project manager; include name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
- Federal agency and address to which you are applying. Include, if available, the name of the person to whome the letter should be addressed
- Grant program and Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CDFA) Number (if available)
- Project title
- Project description or abstract, including how your project will benefit your community, what makes your project beneficial and unique and why federal funding is appropriate.
- Level and nature of local support for your project as well as any local opposition.
- Any other organization/group from Idaho who may also be applying for these funds
- Town, county or population group that will benefit from the funds
- Amount of funds requested in the application
- Deadline for submission or receipt of letter
In addition to weighing in with the agency on your behalf, my staff and I are also able to track the grant process through its entirety. Often an agency will contact me in advance when a grant application has been approved, giving me the opportunity to pass that information along to you when decisions have been made.
If you would like to request a letter of support, please do so by contacting my Idaho State Office at:
