I am pleased to co-sponsor legislation and take actions that will support Idaho veterans. S.J.Res. 15. A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States authorizing the Congress to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States. Introduced May 6, 2009.

S. 307. A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide flexibility in the manner in which beds are counted for purposes of determining whether a hospital may be designated as a critical access hospital under the Medicare program and to exempt from the critical access hospital inpatient bed limitation the number of beds provided for certain veterans. Introduced January 22, 2009.

S. 669. A bill to amend title 38, United States Code, to clarify the conditions under which certain persons may be treated as adjudicated mentally incompetent for certain purposes. Introduced March 23, 2009.

S. 1072. A bill to amend chapter 1606 of Title 10, United States Code, to modify the basis utilized for annual adjustments in amounts of educational assistance for members of the Selected Reserve. Introduced May 19, 2009; Senator Crapo is the lead Republican sponsor of this measure.

S. 3035. The Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury Care Improvement Act. A bill to require a report on the establishment of a Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center or Polytrauma Network Site of the Department of Veterans Affairs in the northern Rockies or Dakotas. Introduced February 24, 2010.

S. 883, the of Honor Commemorative Coin Act. A bill to require the Secretary of the Treasury to mint coins in recognition and celebration of the establishment of the Medal of Honor in 1861, America's highest award for valor in action against an enemy force, to honor the American military men and women who have been recipients of the Medal of Honor, and to promote awareness of what the Medal of Honor represents and how ordinary Americans, through courage, sacrifice, selfless service and patriotism, can challenge fate and change the course of history. Introduced April 23, 2009.

S. 1055, which would grant the Congressional Gold Medal, collectively, to the 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, United States Army, in recognition of their dedicated service during World War II.

SA 3652 to H.R. 4872, the Healthcare and Education Reconciliation Act. An amendment to protect the integrity of Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense health care programs for veterans, active-duty service members, their families, widows and widowers, and orphans who have sacrificed in defense of our Nation.

Senator Crapo introduced S. Res. 340, which passed the Senate by Unanimous Consent. A resolution expressing support for designation of a National Veterans History Project Week to encourage public participation in a nationwide project that collects and preserves the stories of the men and women who served our Nation in times of war and conflict.
