Judicial Nominations

The U.S. Senate has the responsibility of confirming Presidential judicial nominations, a task I take very seriously. Supreme Court Justices have the essential task of guarding what is our nation's foundational legal document - the United States Constitution.

As a lawyer, I have developed a deep respect for the foresight and wisdom of our Founding Fathers in drafting the Constitution. Carefully written by some of the brightest minds in our nation's history, this document has made our nation what it is today.

I advocate strict interpretation of the law. Judges should rule based on the principles of the law and not follow their own personal agenda. I carefully review all judicial nominees that come before the Senate.
