110th Congress:  Action On Global Competitiveness

 

 

I am pleased to sponsor legislation and take actions that will support policies to encourage global competitiveness. This is not a comprehensive list of all the legislation I have co-sponsored related to global competitiveness. Legislation I co-sponsored in the 110th Congress:

  • S. 1919, Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act of 2011, a bill to provide for identification of misaligned currency, require action to correct the misalignment, and for other purposes.
  • S. 1623, a bill to require the withholding of United States contributions to the United Nations until the President certifies that the United Nations is not engaged in global taxation schemes. Introduced June 14, 2007.
  • S. 1145, a bill to amend title 35, United States Code, to provide for patent reform. Introduced April 18, 2007.
  • S.Amdt. 956 to S. 761, to express the sense of the Senate regarding concerns that United States capital markets are losing their competitive edge in intensifying global competition, and to recommend that Congress and the Administration take the necessary steps to reclaim the preeminent position of the United States in the global financial services marketplace. Introduced April 24, 2007; agreed to in Senate by unanimous consent on April 25, 2007.
